During thanksgiving weekend, I ventured out with Shannon (from Shannon Robbins Photography) to the Kelso Conversation Area out in Milton, ON. As Daniel and Gizelle’s photo/video team for their wedding next July, we were honoured to spend some time with them and get to know them a little better. As opposed to your regular engagement photo shoot when it’s mostly just photography, Shannon and I both directed the couple to get capture both stills and video clips just as we would on the wedding day.

After exploring the conservation area, I will say that I really like it. It provides quite a diversity in environments. We went from a lake beach area with willows to a cliff showcasing the surrounding natural areas to a wooden area with trees shielding us from the sun and wind. We definitely got bang for our buck here. Speaking of bang for your buck, bring some money as the conservation area is not free admission – but is totally worth it!

​My goal was to collect footage for a future project but I loved the footage so much, I thought I’d throw together and little some’m-some’n to get us all excited for Daniel & Gizelle’s big day next year! As always, I’d love to hear what you think. Enjoy!
